Originally built as a farmhouse in the 1890's, the Inn has been hosting visitors to Ashland since 1991.  It was named The MouseTrap Inn as a nod to a historic (and now defunct) pine mousetrap factory in the City which once supplied 90% of the nation's traps!  Of course, with Ashland's theatrical history, many visitors associate the name with Agatha Christie's famous play (which ran on London's West End for more than forty years!)

The inn changed names in 2002 when the owner then named the inn after the Rogers and Hart song "Blue Moon".

New owners, Jean-Pierre and Julie Langlade, purchased the Inn in October of 2011. We bring a european flair to the Blue Moon. Jean-Pierre is French born in Paris and Julie is British, born in a small town in East Anglia. We have lived in Boston and San Francisco's East Bay before finding our way to Ashland and the Blue Moon Bed and Breakfast which takes its place among the many wonderful Inns of Ashland.

Blue Moon offers five guest rooms, and an attached "cottage," all with private bathrooms.  Complete descriptions with pictures are available on the "Rooms and Rates" page.

A full breakfast, with homemade muffins and breads, fresh fruit, fresh squeezed orange juice and a hearty egg dish is served in the dining area at Nine A.M., or on the back deck on warm summer mornings.  Of course, local roasters "Noble Coffee" is ready earlier for those who, like J.P., can't start the day without a cup.  We're also glad to accommodate special diets as our abilities permit!  For those who need to be underway early, we are (with just a tish of a bit of advance warning) glad to prepare am early continental breakfast.
